Hon. Richard Holwell Named a Leading Commercial Litigator for 2024 by the Daily Journal 

New York—The Hon. Richard Holwell, former federal judge in the Southern District of New York and co-founding partner of Holwell Shuster & Goldberg, has been recognized by the Daily Journal as a 2024 Leading Commercial Litigator.  

The Daily Journal’s 2024 edition highlights 98 of the “best attorneys working within the broad scope of commercial and bet-the-company litigation across the country.”   

In his profile, Judge Holwell discusses creative settlement strategies for navigating legal disputes, and the importance of investing in increased diversity in the legal industry. The profile highlights two cases where Judge Holwell’s forward-thinking alternative dispute resolution methods helped opposing parties find acceptable solutions in complex litigation matters, demonstrating that “even when adversaries are unable to reach settlement terms on their own, there are creative solutions that counsel should consider.”
